I’ve been religiously reading my Jemma Kidd Makeup Secrets book and I learned this from her:

“Exfoliate regularly to slough off the dead cells on the surface & encourage the rejuvenation of the skin.” p.17, Jemma Kidd Makeup Secrets P995.00 National Bookstore

I have honestly never tried exfoliating my face daily, sometimes I only use any facial wash available (Pond’s Facial wash with Activated Carbon or Neutrogena Foaming Cleanser) after taking off my makeup.

After reading that advice from Jemma Kidd’s book, I decided to try it out and exfoliate on a daily basis.

I have a dry skin type, and usually I get problems like dry patches, tightness after cleansing…etc.

Everyday after school, I remove my makeup using a wet wipe and Pond’s Perfect Care Cold Cream. I’ve been running out of makeup remover quite so often that I decided to switch to using this cold cream. What I do is apply the cream on my face, and use 2 wet wipes to remove all my makeup (including waterproof mascara and liner!) This cold cream is VERY gentle on this skin, and I find that it has made my face softer.

Next I use the St. Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control (available at Watsons) to exfoliate my skin thoroughly. I don’t have any blackheads (knock on wood) but I haven’t had ONE blemish (as in a full blown pimple) ever since I tried this method. After exfoliating, my skin feels INCREDIBLY smooth—all the dead cells are gone.

Next I take a pea-size amount of any facial wash, usually my Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser (available for purchase online, click here) or Pond’s Facial Wash with Activated Carbon (Watsons) and use it on my face for a second wash.

After the cleansing process, I pat my face dry with a clean towel.

Next is MOISTURIZING!!! I never ever skip this step. I use various products for moisturization. None of these broke me out, in fact, all of these have aided in the improvement of my skin!

My #1 favorite moisturizer is the Neutrogena Hydroboost Watergel (PHP800++ Watsons/you can order online too, click here)! I cannot stress how much I love this moisturizer. It’s non-greasy and gives the best moisturization to the face! I have used up, I think, 4-5 jars of this amazing product already!! (this one in the photo is actually empty!!!)

Since I just ran out of my favorite moisturizer, I use my second favorite from Neutrogena which is the Hydroboost Gel (SPF30PA++) This feels a little bit greasy compared to the Watergel, but I don’t mind! It doesn’t make me look like a greaseball all throughout the day! I actually use this morning and night (ever since I ran out of my Watergel) It has SPF which makes it extra amazing. When I don’t feel like using my Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel, I use my ULTIMATE SKIN SAVIOUR—the Pure Intention Serum PHP 749.00. This has been one of the major contributors to my visibly clearer skin. I haven’t done a formal review, but I’m choosing to share it now to youuu guys since you’ve been asking for it! This is from Absynthe Bath and Beauty. I was highly doubted about this product before, but I stand corrected. This amazing serum has Vitamin [Ferulic] C, E, fortified with Emu Oil & Elemi Essential Oil, suitable for all skin types and non-comedogenic!

“WTH, Say, why market this product so much?!” you may think I’m just promoting this too much, but everyone knows I don’t blog about products that don’t work for me.

This is amazing. It repairs my skin ALL throughout the night and I wake up with super supple skin! One more thing I love about it is it actually prevents acne from forming (like when I feel an acne about to pop on my skin, I use this overnight and the next morning, the “bump” is gone) My sister uses this product every night as well, and she loves it! I’ll follow up with a formal review!

To prevent fine lines from forming around my eye area, I use Pond’s Gold Radiance Youth Reviving Eye Cream PHP600+ Watsons. This is the very first eye cream I’ve ever used and I love it!!! My sister gave this to me last Christmas and I’ve been using it ever since. It contains real gold microparticles which gives a beautiful shimmery effect after application.

I use my Personal Microdermabrasion System every week to rejuvenate my skin. It reduces fine lines, wrinkles, enlarges pores and blemishes (spots, even!) This baby promotes cell renewal and rejuvenation using the combination of exfoliation plus suction. This was sent to my by the company PMD last September and I’ve been religiously using it every week.

So, a lot of people have been asking me to this for the longest time and I finally did it! This is a blog post and a video about how I remove my makeup and my nightly skincare routine!

Removing makeup may vary from person to person. In my case, I love using Pond’s Cold Cream and wet wipes from Watsons! I use about 3 wipes all in all, until I am left with no trace of makeup whatsoever.

However, using cold cream and wet wipes is not enough! I like to use my St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub to slough off dead skin cells and reveal new, radiant skin! You can read my separate nightly skincare routine here for in depth information about the products I use. Yes, I use this scrub every night—a method that works for me. Do consider your own skin condition before doing the same.

After exfoliating, I do my “second wash” by using a regular foaming cleanser. At the moment I use Neutrogena’s Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser. I get that squeaky clean feeling right after!

I use a clean towel and dab my face semi-dry to prepare it for moisturization afterwards.

Every night time, I use this amazing facial serum called Absynthe Bath & Beauty Pure Intention Ferulic C & E Serum. I must say that this is my biggest skincare secret! My skin has improved greatly because of this product. It contains 30ml of product and have lasted me for about 2 months. *I’m almost done with my first bottle!!!* It is fortified with emu oil and elemi essential oil. It is non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and suited for all skin types! It doesn’t contain parabens and all that bad stuff. For those concerned about what’s in it:

Cetaryl Glucoside, Ferulic acid, Vit C, Sea kelp, Emu Oil, Vit E, Beta Glucan

Given all that amazing ingredients, it is NO doubt how it was able to transform my skin! *You’ll see it in the video embedded below where I go on cam WITHOUT MAKEUP!*

I was highly doubtful of this product at first, but look where it has gotten my skin now. It is amazing. I hope it would work the same way for you as it did on me!

Up next, I use my eye cream! I use this eye cream from Pond’s called the Gold Radiance Youth Reviving Eye Cream. I’ve been using it for 2-3 months now, and it has done wonders on my eye area. I don’t want any premature lines and wrinkles around there!!

Lastly, LIP BALM! Just to keep my lips soft! Let’s be honest, I skip this step most of the time. But when my lips are extra dry, I see to it that I do this!

Another highly requested video. The much talked about In2it Eyebrow Powder! This has been out of stock for the longest time, and I’m soooo glad they’re back! I got mine from SM City Manila Department Store In2it counter for PHP299.00 It is really worth it?

“IN2IT Waterproof Eyebrow Color with the moisturizer and vitamin E (ER 01 Eyebrowns)”—this is a bit funny but this is really what’s on the label!

Wt. 3.5g—considering my first use, I think this brow powder would last a long long time.

The product comes in a compact case containing 3 colors from light brown, to medium, to dark. It has a teeny angled brow brush which you can use when you’re on the go. The compact case has a mirror, too!

I used my Ecotools Angled Brush to apply the product and I must say I really like it! Some people told me to use it together with a damp brush and I think this would allow me to pick up more pigments from the brow powder as opposed to using a dry brush.

My brows looked perfect for about 6 hours considering the humid weather in the Philippines.

I give this product two thumbs up and I now know why I’ve been hearing praises about it!

I would totally repurchase this bb foundation given that it is able to conceal all my imperfections without the use of concealer. I think it would be better if Pinkies Collection would come up with a wider range of shades, as the 2 shades they have will not match most skin tones. Given the dewy finish of this product, use of a setting powder is HIGHLY recommended. This foundation feels a bit heavy on the skin, giving you a feeling that you REALLY have something on your face especially upon application. Long lasting product and a bit of retouching will help keep dewiness at bay.

The Lipgloss and Lipstick Duo caught my eye because of the nice shades! I liked “DUSTY ROSE” in particular. I paid PHP299.00 for it and told myself “This better be worth it!”

In this experiment, I did not use the lip gloss because I wanted to see how long the lipcolor alone would last, although it is not meant to be a “long-lasting” lipstick, it’s still nice to test out the longevity of this product.

• Dusty Rose is a beautiful color, perfect for everyday use
• Lip color glides on smoothly on the lips
• Color deposit is good
• No pungent smell at all
• Thin film formed on the inner parts of my lips upon application

I first applied the lip color at 2:08PM and this is how it looked like:

This lip color somehow reminds me of Maybelline’s Color Sensational Lipstick in Angel Rose.

I went on through the day for about more or less 6 hours WITHOUT retouching (Last time check is 7:42PM). I ate and drank and I noticed that the lip color faded quickly.

Had I retouched, I think the lip color would’ve lasted more than 6 hours.

Overall, I really like the shade Dusty Rose, it’s one of my everyday lipsticks! Given the price of 299, I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing the Lip Gloss and Lipstick Duo just because I don’t see the need for me to use the lip gloss at all. It only makes the product longer in length, and in turn, quite inconvenient to bring around. If I would repurchase, I think I’d go for the lipstick alone. I’m pretty sure they have Dusty Rose in a single lipstick bullet!

I've often been asked about what products I use to keep my hair straight, shiny, and healthy. I honestly don’t pamper my hair that much! I have nothing to say but praises about this product. If this came in a super huge bottle, I’d totally buy it. This conditioner gives my hair the most amazing softness and silkiness I want. Combing through my hair is a breeze after every wash! It has a light, fragrant scent which keeps the hair smelling fresh all day long. I highly recommend this product to people who want to “tame their tresses”!

A blending brush for me is one of the most important brushes ever when it comes to makeup application. Everyone knows that “blending is key”.  The most beautiful makeup looks are achieved by perfect combination of different shades together.

It is disappointing that most makeup lines available in our local malls don’t carry blending brushes for sale, considering it’s one of the most important tools!

I use blending brushes for a couple of things:

1. blend eyeshadows on my crease area
2. contour my nose bridge
3. contour the hollows of my cheeks
4. contour my jawline & temples
5. used as a highlighting brush

A blending brush has a lot of functions that aid in achieving any makeup look.

The first ever blending brush I owned is from the famous makeup line, Sigma Beauty, (thanks to Sigma for the generous stash) and I’ve been in love ever since!!! I have about 5-6 blending brushes from them, and I just can’t get enough!

If you are looking for a more affordable alternation, Makeup by Toni’s blending brush is for you! Usually found in the Makeup By Toni HOPE Series Brush set (full size), the blending brush is without a doubt one of my top favorites as well! It is very much comparable to Sigma in terms of quality! MBT always gets a 5/5 score from me considering how beautifully crafted their brushes are. Truly made from passion.

I have yet to do the video covering all the specific functions of my favorite blending brush from Makeup by Toni. Rest assured, the video will come very soon!
